Privacy policy

The SaveThat conversion service is on pause. During this pause, savethat.cc is a waitlist: this page explains what data it processes, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. In short: the bare minimum, no cookies, no ads, no data selling.

Data controller

The data controller is the operator of the savethat.cc website, who can be reached at the address given in the Contact section.

Data we collect

Waitlist. When you sign up, we record:

  • your email address;
  • the site language and the page you signed up from;
  • your consent to be notified when the service comes back (and, for sign-ups made on the former site, the newsletter consent given at the time);
  • the sign-up date, the confirmation status and date, and the unsubscribe date where applicable;
  • a confirmation token, which makes the confirmation and unsubscribe links in our emails work.

Abuse protection. To limit the form to 5 attempts per 10 minutes, your IP address is hashed: it is never stored in clear text. These traces are deleted within 24 hours.

Visit statistics. An in-house visit counter is being set up. It uses no cookies and no third-party scripts. For each page view, it only records the day, the page, the language, the country, the operating system and browser family, and an anonymous identifier computed from the IP address and the browser. This identifier changes every day: it is impossible to follow a person from one day to the next. The IP address is not kept.

Purposes

  • Notifying you by email when the service comes back and when each milestone is reached.
  • Verifying your address (double opt-in) and letting you unsubscribe.
  • Protecting the sign-up form against abuse.
  • Measuring site traffic anonymously.

Nothing else: your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising.

Waitlist: your consent. You give it by ticking the box on the form, then confirm it through the link sent by email, valid for 48 hours. You can withdraw it at any time.

Abuse protection and anonymous statistics: our legitimate interest in securing the form and knowing how much the site is visited.

Processors

  • Supabase: waitlist database, hosted in the European Union (Stockholm region, Sweden).
  • Resend: sending confirmation and information emails.
  • Netlify: website hosting, including its server's technical logs.

Retention period

  • Sign-up: one year after the sign-up date, then deleted. You can unsubscribe earlier, at any time, with the link included in every email.
  • Abuse protection traces (hashed IP): 24 hours maximum.
  • Visit statistics: 13 months maximum.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to us at the address given in the Contact section: we reply within one month at most.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Cookies

None. savethat.cc sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts, shows no ads and does not use Google Analytics. So there is no consent banner to accept.
